About Me

With Love & Confection: Hi everyone! My name is Veronica Arthur and I am the original With Love & Confection! I am a self taught cake and confectionery artist since 1985, way before cake art went main-stream. I am a two-time award winner in the Good Housekeeping Gingerbread Contest. I have had the honor of having three of my cakes featured in the international Cake Central Magazine. The most recent was featured on the cover! I also teach classes on scratch baking and cake art. After teaching and coaching my daughter in the art of gingerbread making, she placed 1st at age 3, 2nd at age 9 and 3rd at age 10 in the Youth Division of The National Gingerbread House Competition at the Grove Park Inn in Ashville, NC. As much as I love creating sweet art my number one passion is being a wife and mother of two. There is nothing more rewarding than keeping a home for the beautiful family that God has blessed me with! My daughter shares my love of baking and creating!
